If the bag may seem imposing at first glance, it is nonetheless terribly well thought out. This schoolbag aspect is only a facade and the clips are actually used to close two "straps" to hold a tripod under the bag if necessary. The real opening is on the other side, via zips towards the handle. Very well thought out handle for handling the bag (putting it on the shoulder, removing it, placing it on a table, etc.). The shoulder strap and the handle are well attached to the bag and we feel a real quality of manufacture. Inside now, the storage is diverse and very numerous, perhaps even a little too numerous. There are spaces to store batteries, SD cards, filters or any other accessories. Near the body is a generous pocket in which we should be able to slip a large tablet or a small (very small) PC. We find the imposing side of the bag by looking at the interior space provided for the camera and lenses. At a time when hybrids are gradually replacing our bulky SLRs, we have plenty of space here to fit our equipped SLR as well as 2, 3, or even more lenses depending on their size. Personally, my D7000 in 18-105 accompanied by a 55-300 pales in comparison to all this space. But hey... Better that than the other way around, right? As for the padding, the thickness is up to the challenge. That is to say that the foams are not as thick as those of my enormous backpack, but that seems totally consistent with the special attention that will be paid to this bag used as a shoulder bag. The foams are therefore thick and hard enough to protect your camera and lenses as long as you don't throw everything on the ground like a savage.
