KV37 82mm Fader Variable Adjustable ND Filter ND2-ND400 - Ultra-Slim & Multi-Coated Nano-Klear
SKU: KF01.1393
Definitely a nice surprise! I expected an average filter for the price, I'm attaching a copy of one of the first 5 photos I took with it in the Smoky Mountains. The first 4 just figured out the shutter speed I wanted. Very satisfied, wife happy - couldn't ask for more. I look forward to many images with this 82mm variable ND filter with my Tamron 24-70 lens (or a wide angle lens if I can afford one) on my Nikon D-500.

Here in Arizona we have 320 days of sunshine a year. The sun is bright and intense. An ND filter is pretty much a must if you want to control the quality of the recorded video. This particular variable ND filter works well on my Fuji X-T4. It allows me to set my lens at f4 and keep the exposure perfect. Setting the lens to f4 means it's in the sweet zone of sharpness, producing great videos. It's a great ND filter for the money spent.

It can be turned with a slight resistance, so that you cannot adjust it accidentally. In addition, it feels very high quality.

I have come to rely on K&F Concept for a number of filter types for my many lenses. They are well made with quality glass and I have yet to find any real faults or negatives in these great value filters. You would have to pay a TON more for filters that are only slightly better than these!
This variable ND3 to ND1000 filter provides highly capable ND correction from 1.5 to 10 f/stops. It is a 67 mm filter that is widely used...especially for the majority of Tamron lenses as well as a plethora of Sigma, Sony and Canons as well, which makes this filter an even better bargain.
The variable range is done simply by rotating the front dial of the filter until just the right ND level is found in the viewfinder. The filter features 24 multi-layer coatings to provide the clearest and distortion-free optics, using Japanese glass (Excellent) and precise CNC machining.
I can honestly say that this variable ND filter is almost as good as filters that cost as much as five times more. Construction is very good and the filters mount to appropriate lenses without drag, rubbing or other issues. Simple operation and fantastic results!
All in all, and especially at the value price, this set earns an easy FIVE STARS with me, and I can honestly and heartily recommend the set for your appropriate lenses.

I was surprised at how good this under $20 Vari filter turned out to be! I needed a Vari-nd for my trip to Thailand as I only had one lens with me (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema with a Panasonic 20mm 1.7). I usually use the Hoya ProND (one of the very best ND filters ever) but I needed something more practical for a vacation as wearing NDs wouldn't be. Looking at the footage I shot I'm very glad I decided to purchase it as I haven't noticed any toning yet (despite shooting raw). Remember that there is a rainbow effect behind certain glass surfaces.

The common wisdom is never to buy cheap ND filters! Always Pay Hundreds of Dollars! Or you know, get this one (great so far for video in ridiculous sunlight - ISO 200f/1.7 = crystal clear skies, not a pixel overexposed) and use the money saved to buy another lens or peripherals. Fits perfectly with nice, tight threads, the variable spins smoothly, no green cast or splotchy lines I could see even at 4k zoom, and comes in a cool protective case that fits my pocket like a glove.
I have a tripod and an EF to 4/3 adapter from K&F Concepts and these guys haven't disappointed me yet. Quickly becoming one of my favorite companies.

The thing works great. Smooth adjustment, solid construction. Color looks just right. Cheaper than some competition. Can really control the incoming light without having to change the settings in the camera, so you can play with an aperture of 1.2 outdoors or just fast for run and gun. Here's a trick, get a bigger one and some step down rings so one filter can fit multiple lenses. ;)

I found this filter to work as advertised. I think if you're getting into neutral density photography or video this is a great place to start. I'm now switching to fixed filters and changing them as the light changes instead of using this adjustable one, but I think this is the best place to start

I purchased the K&F Concept 46mm Variable ND prior to my vacation in San Antonio and was super impressed with the performance of this budget filter!
Any aspiring photographer knows how difficult it is to film and shoot in bright sunlight without overexposing everything. This variable ND was the easiest answer to my run and gun film style while I was out shooting my vlog on my vacation.
I definitely recommend this product to people who need lens filters for their shots. Comes in a nice protective case and easily fits in my camera bag!

K&F Concept been around for some time and they're a great go-to choice for value to performance. This review is for their variable ND3-ND1000 filter (1.5-10 stops). K&F does make more premium filters than this particular one, so this filter isn't their best, but it's still good. Build quality is fantastic. The inner stationary filter has two areas of knurling while the outer rotational filter is smooth. On the edges, you'll see lasered markings indicating minimum, boxes for stops, maximum, and an arrow indicating where you're at. Though this is somewhat useful, the filter doesn't always index on my lens so that is easily shows these markings. Furthermore, there aren't hard stops for the outer filter, so you can rotate it continuously. As you rotate through the full 360 degrees, you'll go through 2 full rotations of the minimum to maximum variable effect. Optical quality is on par with most of their other filters. Since you can rotate all the way through, and because this variable goes up to 10 stops, you'll run into the X effect towards the deeper end. When I tested my 77mm filter on my 24-70, it wasn't immediately obvious on the camera screen but became more apparent once I imported the photo. The filter does live up to its density claims though as I was able to achieve up to 10 stops of change. Overall, the variable ND3-ND1000 filter (1.5-10 stops) by K&F is a fantastic buy below $60 and provides great value for its performance. I've long eyed the variables by Tiffen and B+W and PolarPro but at 2x-5x the price, I couldn't justify it without even knowing if I truly needed a variable ND. If you're just getting into using ND filters and you want to play around with an entry-level cost variable that will last you a while, I strongly recommend the K&F. It runs into the same X issue found in nearly all variables without hard stops.
