It's a straight 10 stop neutral density filter, it's not a variable filter. Be prepared to use tripod for long exposure or use a very high iso and wide aperture.
I use it to smooth water or to control the amount of light captured. Overall, a must filter.

I took some long exposures and I was fine. I gave it 5 stars because I'm not an expert on ND filters, so I don't know if the quality is the highest there is. But it seems good to me

Impressed with the photo quality using this filter... I've got a very critical eye when it comes to color cast using ND filters, and there is NONE. The fit and finish of the filter is also very good... I've had color cast with more expensive (different brand) filters.... I give this 2 thumbs up and I'm going to stick with K&F Concept from here on out... GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK... can't imagine why you'd spend more... ZERO COLORCAST IS ZERO COLOR CAST, whether you spend $30 or $130.... Buy this one! And spend your savings on other equipment!!
