I use this for mystery shopping and it works great! Small and light weight and discreet. Excellent buy for the price. Also the audio it picks up is super clear.

I was a little concerned when the instructions demanded that I view a video in a QR code and I looked everywhere and...there was no QR code. Then it says again, chidingly, that if you didn't view the video on the QR code, you must do so now. Still no QR code but now anxiety????
Anyway, it's simple enough to use. Slide a lever 'on' to record and off to stop the recording. It's a small grey button that is very discreet and most people haven't even noticed it in my test runs using it.
While the recording quality isn't dolby surroundsound or anything, I used it to record a lecture where the speaker was sometimes 15 feet or more away from the device and even had their back turned and while there was a definite shift in volume, at no point was the speaker inaudible. That's pretty impressive.
It comes with just about everything you need--wired earphones (which are not great quality but if you have nothing else they're fine) all the adapters and chargers you need.
The paper brochure walks you through how to set the default time (so your recordings are timestamped correctly) and various other features and advice--it's definitely a good idea to read that.
One thing I also liked was that the recorder has a very weak magnet in the top, that attaches gently but securely to a metal surface like a desk. Who is going to look askance at a small metal round plate on your desk?
Playback also couldn't be easier--you can attach it through the charging cable and the files propagate immediately, by timestamp, and you can play them using pretty much any basic player (like WMP). Or you could use the other adapter and listen using the headphones away from the computer. It has a good deal of storage but it's also easy to transfer files--there's no auto loading to a cloud or anything where they want to upsell you on a service, but it's easy to copy the files you need into a cloud or other storage, just manually.
It's easy to use, sleek and almost invisible, and records well in a variety of situations. I just hope I'm not missing something obvious by not having the qr code.

This device is an amazing recording device for lectures! I love that it is voice activated so I don’t have to worry about wasting recording time when no one is speaking. It has such a large storage for how many hours it can store, which means I don’t have to upload the lectures often. It’s easy to use, handy, and prevents me from forgetting what was said. It’s also easy to attach onto things so it just stays as you focus on what is being said.
