This device is top notch. Great articulation. Crystal clear image quality. Positive grip when in use. If your budget allows for it, buy it.

This borescope just works well! Having full movement of the camera tip is worth the price of admission alone. The case it comes in securely holds the display and scope, and case will fit in a backpack. Perfect setup for someone that needs to be mobile and have great resolution. I use mine to inspect aviation engine gearboxes. This unit works as well as $1K scopes we have at the shop.

I have only used the borescope twice on an engine, but the ability to inspect bearing surfaces and also the crosshatch of the cylinder wall including articulating the camera to look back up at valves is impressive. Very satisfied.

I used it by placing a weight in front of the camera to keep the wire taut so it doesn't hit the inside wall on descent. While for the control of the chimney mouth I fixed it on a telescopic pole to have optimal control during the ascent. I took photos and videos and the result is satisfactory, certainly not comparable to products that cost 10 times more. I give 5 stars for the value for money.

I think this is so awesome. I got it for my husband since he works on our car and drops things into small spaces. This is so much better to use than a cell phone camera. The joystick is smooth and accurate. I have no complaints.

I have a few Borescopes that come with their own screen. The one I'm reviewing here is the Kentfaith 360 deg articulating borescope with 3.3' long flexible cable. The cable is short, so keep that in mind. It really depends upon your purpose. It also is flexible, so don't expect to 'push' it unless you are in a constrained item like a pipe or a drain. Note that Kentfaith does also have a unit with a semi-flexible cable at twice the length, same cost. There are units available with much longer cables and/or stiffer cables (if that is what you need) and for lower cost if you choose to use your phone (with an app) as the screen. Personally, I prefer units that come with their own screen, even though one might argue that it is redundant.

The unit charges via a USB-C cable. The IPS screen is very clear and with good colours. The controls are pretty straight forward. The on/off button is on the side (long press). There are 4 buttons below the screen with dual functions. I like that the screen shows you the button functions at the bottom appropriate to the screen that you are on. There is a button on the handle that cycles thru 3 levels of light on the cable tip. The final control is the joystick that angles the camera tip. Just use your thumb and you can angle the camera. Rotate the cable (by rotating the handle/screen and you can see 360 deg. Use the joystick to go from looking straight ahead (0 deg) to full backwards (180 deg) and essentially one can look at all points surrounding the camera in 3 dimensions.

The cable is quite thin (6.2 mm or just shy of 1/4"), including the camera tip. This borescope will get into some areas that others would not. One can snap pictures or take video which is saved on the included 32 GB micro SD card. The menu is straight forward, allowing one to change settings (eg Language, Units, Date/Time, auto off, resolution, brightness, etc). A hard case is included with a cutout foam liner to securely hold the unit. Note that the screen does detach from the handle (threaded collar) for storage and easier charging.

If your borescope needs are met with a 1 m short flexible cable with full articulation, then the Kentfaith is certainly worth considering. Note that they have a similar model with a 2 m longer semi-flexible cable as well.

Sturdy case, sucks that you have to remove the display to put the unit in the case. braided power cord, but NO charger. video out is better than expected. Photo feature is a must for sharing data with customers. Articulation is smoother than expected. Display could be better in sunlight, and only okay indoors.
