Right off the bat, I will say that K&F has become a go-to brand for me. This Glimmer is a perfect example of K&F quality because it does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Most of my work is done with an iPhone rigged out for adaptability to a number of lenses and filters. My main use for the Glimmer filter is to soften people and scenes in a different way than black mist filters, and when I pair this with ND filters to recapture motion blur lost by the stark digital properties of a mobile device I like the subdued feel and it lessens the harshness of mobile filming.
I recommend the Glimmer for anyone using a mobile device that is utilizing a cage system and has the proper adapters for these types of filters especially if you have black mist. The glimmer is truly different than a black mist and I am betting that like me, you will find that perfect place for this glimmer in the kit.

This filter is for a specific use, and it fulfills that well. I use it on my Sony a6100 with the 50mm f/1.8. when the light highlights areas, this filter diffuser the light beautifully, and does create a subtle glow that looks very nice and softens some high contrast areas.

My camera is greatly under-utilized, I really need to step up my game.
I did have an opportunity recently to use this shimmer filter in a couple of settings and I have to say the most noticeable difference revealed itself when I took a couple of close-ups of my face. I had no makeup on and posed under harsh sunlight. It definitely softened the frame and removed shadows. One of the things I find difficult as a person with very dark skin is capturing my skin tone accurately in photographic images. In different exposures and settings, I can appear much lighter than I actually am, which is not a desirable effect - at least not to me. This filter does give somewhat of a lighter appearance to my skin tone, but not dramatically. It was useful in capturing a softer version of the actual environment, which is a plus if you can't alter the amount or quality of light. Overall I think this filter would be useful in softening light without completely altering the subject altogether.

K&F is a high quality filter manufacturer whose products I trust. I own quite a few of their filters. They are well designed, manufactured and packaged.
This interesting Shimmer Diffusion 1 filter from K&F has a fine sparkling coating applied to it which gives bright highlights a subtle bloom or glow around them. It also reduces the overall contrast of your scene by lightening the shadow areas.
The filter's effect on your image is subtle and not as dramatic as I thought it would be when looking at the shimmer and sparkle seen on the coating.

This is a nice filter for glamour shots. It really has a nice subtle softening effect. It works especially well for evening out the image when you have a lot of contrast and specular highlights. In low contract shots, the effect isn't rally all that pronounced though.
The build quality of this filter is excellent. The threads are cut well and it comes in an unexpectedly robust filter case. I am quite pleased with it.

This K&F concept filter is another quality product. The thin filter has smooth threads and the bumpy ring grip making it easy to remove. I'm not willing to pay a higher price for filters with specific use effects, like this subtle shimmer, so this is an excellent quality level for my use. Preferring to create effects in-camera when possible, I like this option for some glow in portraits and cityscapes.

K&F Concept has become one of my go-to budget-friendly camera gear companies, and this is another great example of why that is. The build quality is above its price point, and the glass doesn't add any color casting or fringing
