I'm just starting out in photography myself and have a lot of tripods, all of which are basically pretty cheap. I bought this one hoping it was professional level and I might be happier. This baby is solid. I don't know much about tripods but this is the very first tripod that I find very professional. I'm sure there are much better ones out there but at my level this is the best I've ever had. For reference only, I am 52 years old.

It took me a bit to get oriented to how to use this tripod as it works a little differently to the usual "standard" tripods I've had in the past, especially in regard to unfolding the legs. The design allows it to fold up really compact for how tall of a tripod it is and it feels solid. My only complaint is that there is no quick release function to snap the camera into the tripod, you have to manually screw and unscrew the quick attach bracket on the bottom of the camera in and out of the tripod to take it on and off. I wish it just had the usual lever to lock it in and out of the tripod, but otherwise it's a great tripod.

Pros: clip-lock extensions on the legs are firm and hold heavy loads; light weight; perfect for traveling.Cons: weight of a rig can sometimes fall even when the ball head is tight. don't forget to tighten more than you think you need to.

I want to start off by say I didn’t elect to keep this bipod only because it was on the heavy side for hunting. In the description it states the weight as 3.14lbs. I weighed it and it was 4.17. Having said that the height, functionality, engineering, and controls were awesome. For a tall photographer that doesn’t have to move a bunch in my opinion this is the tripod for you. If you’re a hunter who’d rather have strength over weight then this too is for you. For being an aluminum tripod it actually it quite lite. I elected to get the 64” version to save a pound or so because I liked it that much.

wanted a good quality tripod for long exposure photography and I’m very pleased with this one. I’ve had it stood on the shore whilst the tide came in and the water didn’t shake it, and the photos turned out lovely. I’ve been using it for product photography too and I’m able to get a nice angle.It’s quick and easy to set up and pack away too

Si! So far this item is sturdy and light weight. Enjoyable. Will update after a months usage. Bag inside of box was a little ripped along with slight dust on carrying bag but all in all good condition so far. Easy to use!

Had to upgrade the tripod due to the heavy lens, just bought the Tamron 150 600 and am impressed. It's much big and the ball head is nice. Was concerned that it would be difficult to stabilize the weight based on other reviews, but I have had no problems at all. For the price it works well and no problems at all. I've had it for a few weeks now and was disappointed with how the legs would slip on hard surfaces. After trying to remove the metal dots on the leg ends I discovered that unscrewing the rubber feet completely hides the metal dots on grass or dirt just unscrew the rubber back out to reveal the dots, now I'm happy again.

The short rod supplied is 30 cm long while the closed stand reaches 50 cm. How I use the tripod is very simple to use and other measurements and opinions on how well it works can be found in the various reviews, I will limit myself to saying that I use it with Tamron 150/600 G2 on Nikon D7200 and Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope both on head ball supplied and on Gimbal to replace it but only on a smooth tripod without the extension rod which I have not tried. Relatively light weight, excellent transport bag with reflective insert and shoulder strap with padded shoulder strap. Head equipped with an attack for anything and is of the Arca-Swiss compatible type.
