Whenever I pick up new batteries, I always look for ones with a built-in charge feature. No special charger, no extra room in the camera bag or luggage for a charger. And no FORGETTING a charger. Even if you somehow forget or lose a USB cord, you can get them anywhere. Yea, I have arrived at a weekend shoot and realized the charger was missing. Lesson learned. Even if you prefer standard chargers or charging in-camera, this battery is an ideal backup. Plus, obviously, it's also an additional camera battery.
