I needed a UV filter to attach to the front of my camcorder and, because of the lens hood, it had to be slimline. My filter brand of choice has always been Hoya however even the thinnest Hoya I could find was simply too thick for what I needed so the only option was to find an alternative , hence I ordered the K&F ultra slimline UV filter.

The build quality of the K&F Concept UV filter is superb, Okay, it feels a little fragile but this applies to all filters and none of the ones I have come across has felt what I would describe as bullet proof. Though fragile the overall finish and feel of this filter is great.

In my experience all filters affect the image quality to some degree and the key is to find the filter that causes the least, or most unnoticeable effect on the image. The K&F ultra slimline filter does affect the image quality however you have to zoom in super close and go pixel peeping to see it, which makes it perfect for capturing video footage, i.e. the reason I ordered this filter.

this K&F filter is low priced, which when you consider the build quality and image quality, makes this top value for money and great bang for the buck.

Overall, the K&F Concept ultra slimline filter is an excellent filter and perfect for camcorders. It is indeed thin (make that very thin), it is good quality and well made and, whilst it does affect image quality, you have to go pixel peeping which is something you simply don’t do with video footage.
