It actually gives away your position. Some of the illuminator's light is far in the visible, red part of the spectrum. It's not a small amount. It almost looks like a red flashlight. Despite that, I still like it because of the price, but it is NOT for camouflage

Unfortunately I'm not sure what technology is needed to detect ghosts... I can say that the video was so clear that I could see everything even when zoomed in. The zoom is incredible too.

I definitely have the feeling that I can see 100 meters without any problems. We have a thick tree line so I'm not sure they work beyond that.

This appears to be first or second generation Digital NV. It is NOT an image intensifier (military) NV. This is the same type of SWIR used in trail cameras.
